02 Application Timeline

First batch: November 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026

Second batch: January 16, 2026, to March 15, 2026

Third batch: March 16, 2026, to April 15, 2026

Fourth batch: April 20, 2026, to May 20, 2026

03 Qualifications

(1)Good physical and mental health (no infectious or contagious disease and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with regular study).

(2)Applicants should be under 23 by September 1st, 2026.

(3)Applicants should hold a high school graduation certificate or diploma by September 1st, 2026.

(4)Applicants should be competent in performing scientific research and maintain a good academic grade level. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. NPU accepts international standardized tests such as SAT/A-Level/IB or regional high school graduation examinations.

From this application season, applicants should provide the test results of CSCA(China Scholastic Competency Assessment) or Screenshot of exam registration (expected test date no later than April 2026), with scores to be supplemented before May 20, 2026.

(5)Language

Applicants should have Chinese or English language proficiency that meets the requirement.

*Applicants who do not meet language requirements above, please check international foundation program.

(6)Nationality

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.  For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens, they must acquire a foreign nationality and cancel Chinese nationality before April 30, 2022 and have a record of actual foreign residency for more than 2 years from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (record of actual foreign residency for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, referring to the entry and exit date signatures).

Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:

(1)The certificate proving that the applicant obtained his/hers foreign nationality at birth;

(2) For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
